The story

AI Guides On is a set of free AI courses where you build something real. They are short and in-depth, written for people who don't code. Each course is three to six lessons of five to fifteen minutes, and each ends with something you made.

Who it is for. Anyone who has never used an AI tool, or tried once and gave up, and who wants to learn by doing. You do not need to write code or know how the models work.

How it works in practice. Pick a course and follow the steps. Each lesson gives you the exact prompt where there is one, real screenshots with the date each was captured, a checkpoint telling you what you should see next, and the problems you are likely to hit. Every lesson is readable without an account. If you want to save your progress, earn badges and keep a streak, you can sign in with an emailed link. Finish a course and you get a certificate of completion with its own verification link, ready to add to LinkedIn.

What makes it different. Every course lists the tools it uses, what they cost, the date the price was checked and the source. Every page lists its sources and shows when it was published and when it was last updated, and the updated date changes only when the content does. The homepage shows what lesson 3 produced for a made-up bakery, unedited. Every page also has a plain Markdown copy, and there is an llms.txt file for AI assistants.

Where it stands now. Four courses are written and open: AI for beginners, Prompting for beginners, Claude for beginners, and building a website with AI and putting it online for free with Cloudflare Pages. Seven more are planned, and the site marks them as planned rather than pretending they exist. There is a small blog alongside.

What it deliberately does not do. It has no paywall, no trial and no card. It does not ask for an account before you can read a lesson, and it does not use passwords. It does not pass off a planned course as a finished one, and its certificates show that you finished a course, not that you passed an exam.
