Who we are
Adapt Progress Evolve Limited is the controller of the personal data described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10047328, VAT number GB362654684.
Contact: jack@adaptprogressevolve.com.
The contact form
If you send us a message through the form on this site, we collect your email address, your message, your name if you give one, and the page you sent it from. The form passes this to our own enquiries system, which keeps a record and emails it to us so we can reply. We also add you to our internal contact list as someone who has written to us. That is not a marketing sign-up, and we will not send you marketing without asking you separately.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): we need to read and answer enquiries sent to us. If your enquiry leads to a contract, we then hold the details under Article 6(1)(b). We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last message, then delete them, unless we are working together or the law requires us to keep them longer.
Anonymous site statistics
We keep simple first-party statistics about how the site is used: the page viewed, the page you came from, any campaign tags in the link, whether your screen is a phone, tablet or desktop, your country, the time, and a random identifier that lives in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string, we do not use cookies for this, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising services. The statistics are held with our database provider, Supabase.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we want to know which pages are useful. Because the statistics identify no one, we do not delete them on a fixed schedule. You can opt out by setting analytics_opt_out to 1 in your browser's local storage for this site.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver and protect the site.
The site uses your browser's own storage, which stays on your device, to remember things like the places you have visited in the city, your score in its small games, and the random identifier mentioned above. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
The city wall
Where the shared wall in the city is switched on, you can sign it with a short name. Whatever you type is published for others to see, so do not use your real name unless you want it shown. We store the signature, its colour, the time, and a random identifier generated in your browser, which we use only to limit how often one visitor can sign. Ask us and we will remove a signature.
Social media accounts we publish to
We publish our own content to LinkedIn Pages and other social accounts that we administer, using those platforms' official APIs. When a Page administrator authorises our app we store an encrypted access token, their member ID and display name and the Page(s) they administer, only to publish posts we have approved. We do not collect or store data about other people who view, comment on or react to our posts. You can disconnect our app at any time in LinkedIn (Settings > Data privacy > Permitted services) and ask us to delete what we hold by emailing jack@adaptprogressevolve.com; we delete tokens and personal identifiers within 30 days.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running our own company's social accounts. Tokens are encrypted before they are stored.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of providers to run the site, acting on our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), Supabase (database for the statistics, blog and wall) and Resend (sending the email that tells us about an enquiry). We do not sell personal data. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, so data may be transferred internationally; where it is, it is protected by the safeguards those providers offer under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email jack@adaptprogressevolve.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
